Do you have a question about how schools support children with mental health needs

The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services scrutiny inquiry panel is meeting on 16 February to talk to representatives from the Council’s education department and the cabinet members for Education and Children & Young People.  The meeting will begin at 9.30am and will be held in the Council Chamber in the Guildhall.

The aim of the session is to examine a number of issues including:

  • Identifying and supporting children with mental illness and mental health issues
  • Making a referral and accessing services
  • How schools link with other services

Cllr Mary Jones, convener of the scrutiny panel, would like to invite public questions during the first 10 minutes of the meeting.  If you would like to come along and have a question on education and mental health you can submit it via the blog or e-mail it to scrutiny@swansea.gov.uk
