The Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Councillor Mark Child, will be appearing before the Scrutiny Programme Committee on 4 August for a question and answer session.
The committee will explore the work he has done in this role, looking at priorities, actions, achievements and impact. They would welcome your ideas for questions.
The Wellbeing portfolio includes responsibility for:
- Social Services (including Supporting People initiative)
- Housing (including Houses in Multiple Occupation)
- Health / Healthy Cities
- Early Intervention & Prevention (including Flying Start programme)
- Physical Activity / Recreation
Is there anything that you think the committee should ask him? Any suggestions made before 4 August will be looked at by the committee in developing its questioning strategy and the key ones will be put to Councillor Child.

A summary of each session, including public questions that are asked, and views of the committee are included in a letter to the relevant cabinet member. Both these letters and responses from Cabinet Members are published in future Scrutiny Programme Committee agendas.
This is part of a series of Cabinet Member Question Sessions that will take place over the course of the year. The committee meets every 4 weeks. Next up will be Councillor Christine Richards, Cabinet Member for Citizen, Community Engagement & Democracy, on 1 September.
