Today the Performance & Finance Board heard from Dave Tosh, the Council’s Head of Information & Customer Services about the Council’s ICT contract. This was originally set up in 2005 and there was a major scrutiny report produced at the time. You can find the report here (PDF).
Dave took the Board over the significant features of the current contract with Cap Gemini and explained that, as with all Council Services, there was work ongoing to identify savings opportunities to help meet the current financial challenges. The contract with Capgemini is due to end in December 2015, so the Council is beginning to get work underway to examine the future options for ICT service delivery. Cabinet is due to receive a report in May. The Board agreed that it would like to be more closely involved in this process as the proposals progress. So watch this space!
